Graphical abstract
We characterized the thermo-electrochemical behavior of 21700 cells at −20 °C and observed better electrochemical properties during overdischarging (4.2–0 V) than standard (4.2–2.5 V) conditions. Also, modeling-based analysis was used to clarify the improvement of electrochemical characteristics such as diffusion coefficient and exchange current density.
